Margaret is an Agricultural Economist with over 4 years of vast experience in small-scale agricultural and livelihood development, and transformation;

Smallholder commercialization; sustainable agricultural value and supply chains; inclusive business models; behavioral economics and farmer collective action; food security; and smallholders’ market and agri-business development.

She holds a Master of Science, in Agricultural Economics from South Africa. Prior to joining Biovision Africa Trust (BvAT), she worked at the Center for International Forestry (CIFOR)-World Agroforestry Centre (ICRAF) on agricultural value chains’ development and inclusive business models, among others.

She also worked in South Africa at the Agricultural Rural Development Research Institute (ARDRI). Moreover, she also did some consultancies on aspects of agricultural value chain development and food security
