We implement and oversee a variety of programs and projects that ultimately fulfill the Trusts goals, mission and vision.

Farmer Communication Program(FCP)

The goal of our outreach is to provide a one–stop information and knowledge hub for farmers in their localities. FCP Outreach has 22 field staff based in 13 resource centres in several regions in rural Kenya.

Ecological Organic Agriculture Initiative

The EOA Initiative is an initiative that promotes Ecological Organic Agriculture (EOA). It was started in response to the African Union Heads of State and Government’s call for the promotion of organic farming in Africa.

Knowledge Centre for Organic Agriculture in Eastern Africa (KCOA-KHEA)

The Knowledge Centre for Organic Agriculture (KCOA) Project in Eastern Africa is in its first phase of implementation for a period of 2 years (2019- 2021).

Native PEP

The project NATIVE PEP aims to Strenghthen livelihood security and environmental health in selected regions in Kenya and Tanzania affected by rangeland degradation, deforestation, and invasive alien trees

Our Projects
The Organic Farmer Magazine

The Magazine for sustainable agriculture in Kenya. TOF Magazine provides on a monthly basis articles written by farmers and other agriculture professionals on sustainable organic farming practices.

The Organic Farmer Radio Program

TOF Radio is a radio programme for small-scale farmers in East Africa. Every week, two seven-minute editions of the programme are broadcast on organic farming issues. The Radio Programmes air on Mbaitu FM and KBC Radio Service.

Infonet

Infonet-Biovision is one of the channels of the Farmer Communication Programme (FCP), it provides a database with scientific and practical validated information and knowledge related to plant (crop), animal, human and environmental health.

Mkulima Mbunifu

Mkulima Mbunifu or "The Smart Farmer", is a unique version of The Organic Farmer Magazine published on a monthly basis in the swahili language. It is an independent farming magazine consumed mostly by Tanzanians.

ANFEA Project

The Agroecology for Increased Nutrition and Food Security in Eastern Africa (ANFEA) Project, jointly led by Biovision Africa Trust (BvAT) and the Millennium Institute (MI), is a strategic initiative aimed at addressing the pressing challenges of nutrition and food security in the region.

THE LDF PROJECT

The need for sustainable solutions to address food insecurity, strengthen the participation of smallholder farmers and particularly women and youth in markets landscape is therefore evident. This project therefore seeks to address food nutrition and security, enhance market access by farmers and improve their livelihoods.

GIZ Western Kenya Project

The project ‘‘Increasing the Resilience of Farming Systems with Agroecology, With A Focus On Gender,’’ is nested within BvAT’s Farmer Communication Programme setup which runs farmer resource centres and complemented by The Organic Farmer (TOF) Magazine, The Organic Farmer Radio and the one-stop shop knowledge platform Infonet.
