TERMS OF REFERENCE REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS TO MANAGE NSSF TIER 2 CONTRIBUTIONS FORBIOVISION AFRICA TRUST EMPLOYEES.

1. BACKGROUND

Biovision Africa Trust (BvAT) is a not-for-profit organization established in Kenya in 2009, with its head office located within the main campus of the International Centre of Insect Physiology and Ecology (icipe) in Kasarani, Nairobi. The Trust’s goal is to sustainably improve the health and prosperity of people in Africa while conserving the environment with agroecology and ecological organic agriculture as a basis for all life. Its mission is to alleviate poverty and improve the livelihoods of rural communities in Africa through disseminating relevant information and building the capacity of farmers and partners for the ecological transformation of African agriculture and
food systems. A food secure African continent with healthy people living in a healthy environment is the vision of the Trust.
Biovision Africa Trust (BvAT) seeks for Proposals for management and administration of its staff contributions towards NSSF tier 2. In compliance to the NSSF Act No.45 of 2013, BvAT staff contribute NSSF Tier 2 and remit it to NSSF. However, the team resolved to identify a private fund manager/pension administer to manage their tier 2 of NSSF. In this regard, we are seeking proposals from various fund managers/Insurance pension administrator which should cover the below listed items/parameters.

BvAT wishes to engage an eligible and registered pension administrator /fund Manager to undertake the management and administration of its staff contributions towards NSSF tier 2 as per both NSSF Act and Retirement Benefits Act.

2. ELIGIBILITY

1. The Company/firm MUST be registered and compliant with the Retirement Benefit Act.
2. Currently managing several NSSF tier 2 contributions for other organizations.
3. Over seven years of experience in fund management/pension management and administration.
4. Able to provide administrative services of the scheme.

3. APPLICATION REQUIRMENTS

1. Profile of the Company/firm.
2. Technical proposal as per the above listed parameters.
3. Financial proposal detailing the management and administrative fee charged.
4. Two referees from organizations where you are currently managing their tier 2 contributions.
