Andreas Schriber
Trustee and Founding Trustee
Andreas Schriber is co-founder of the Swiss based NGO Biovision Foundation for Ecological Development established in 1998, in close collaboration with the Foundation’s President, Dr Hans Rudolf Herren. Schriber served the Biovision Foundation as Chief Executive Officer for 17 years, stepping down in December 2019. He also initiated and led the establishment of Biovision Africa Trust, a sister organization of the Biovision Foundation, back in 2009. Trained as a science journalist, Andreas has worked on environmental and development issues for over three decades. He has been a successful filmmaker, correspondent, science editor for the Swiss National Public Broadcast Corporation and other media houses. He has undertaken a number of roles as a communication expert, including a stint as Head of Communication for the World Wildlife Fund for Nature (WWF) Switzerland. Andreas Schriber holds a Master of Advanced Studies (MAS) and Executive-MBA from the University of Applied Sciences, Northwestern Switzerland.
