Venancia Ndoo Wambua
Venancia is the Project Manager of The EOA Initiative (EOA-I) in Africa currently implemented in nine African countries (Benin, Ethiopia, Kenya, Mali, Nigeria, Senegal, Tanzania, Rwanda and Uganda).
Its overall goal is to contribute to mainstreaming Ecological Organic Agriculture into national agricultural production systems by 2025 to improve agricultural productivity, food security, access to markets and sustainable development in Africa. It is implemented under the guidance and oversight of the AU chaired Continental Steering Committee (CSC) to establish an African organic farming platform based on available best practices; and to develop sustainable organic farming systems and improve seed quality.
She has a Master of Science degree in Range Ecology from the University of Nairobi and has over 10 years’ experience in managing projects in the conservation and agriculture sectors.
Prior to joining Biovision Africa Trust in 2014, Venancia worked for Birdlife International Africa Secretariat where in various capacities managed projects in conservation, policy and livelihoods spanning the African continent. She has also worked for The East African Wildlife Society and supported PACT International in the area of partners capacity building.
