SUMMARY:E-discussion: The co-creation\, sharing and dissemination of local innovations for healthy soils in Africa
DESCRIPTION:Welcome to the Family Farming & Agroecology Discussions Community of Practice (CoP)! \nThe objective of this group is to establish synergies\, connect existing organizations and networks and encourage proactive multi-stakeholder exchanges to enhance the community of practicioners on family farming and agroecology by co-creating and sharing knowledge through focused thematic discussions. \nEach discussion will be held around a theme chosen by the co-organizers for 4 weeks. The discussions is based on a brief paper introducing the theme\, providing general background and highlighting key questions to be considered to build a shared understanding on goals of the discussion. \nMain objectives of the Family Farming & Agroecology Community of Practice Discussions: – Facilitate open access online discussions on family farming and agroecology; – Provide a “purpose-driven” multi-stakeholder space to discuss specific theme and exchange knowledge on relevant topics for family farmers and agroecology practitioners; – Establish proactive synergies and collaborations among stakeholders and existing networks of practitioners from all levels working for the promotion of family farming and agroecology in Africa; – Increase awareness and enhance knowledge-sharing on family farming and agroecology. \nE-DISCUSSION ON THE CO-CREATION\, SHARING AND DISSEMINATION OF LOCAL INNOVATIONS FOR HEALTHY SOILS IN AFRICA 20TH APRIL – 20TH MAY 2022 \nThe FAO Family Farming & Agroecology Community of Practice in Africa is implementing a discussion on ‘The co-creation\, sharing and dissemination of local innovations for healthy soils in Africa’\, co-organized by key actors working for the promotion of family farming and agroecology in different regions and on different scales in Africa. \nThe discussion will be open from the 20th of April to the 20th of May.
